Description

The Psilocybe Mexicana (Jalisco) Liquid Culture Spray variety of the Psilocybe mexicana is distinguished by its specific growth characteristics and potential for sclerotia formation, contributing to the richness of its use in both traditional and modern practices. This liquid culture syringe allows growers to immediately start with a pure culture of this captivating mushroom, simplifying the cultivation process and increasing the chances of success.

Its ability to produce sclerotia, often referred to as “magic truffles,” makes this strain particularly valuable. Sclerotia, like the mushrooms themselves, contain psilocybin and are an alternative form of the fungus that can be harvested and used. ‘Jalisco’ thus offers a unique opportunity for those interested in the deeper psychonautical potencies of Psilocybe mexicana, both for scientific research and personal exploration.

Genetic purity:

Professionally isolated and prepared under sterile conditions to minimize contamination risks.

What substrate do we grow on?

Work perfectly on grain substrates.

Use

Inoculating your substrate has never been easier. With a simple injection of Psilocybe mexicana “Jalisco” Liquid Culture, you can watch the mycelial network multiply and transform your growing medium into a canvas on which mushrooms can flourish.

  1. Sterilization: Sterilize the substrate mixture to kill any harmful bacteria and fungi that may hinder mushroom growth. This can be done by heating the substrate mixture in an autoclave or by pasteurizing it using steam.
  2. Substrate inoculation: Begin by preparing the substrate, such as vermiculite and brown rice flour, as described previously. Make sure the substrate is moist but not soggy. Next, grab the spore syringe with the Psilocybe mexicana “Jalisco” spores.
  3. Inoculation Process: Shake the spore syringe with the mushroom spores well to ensure that the spores are evenly distributed. Then use the syringe to distribute the spores evenly over the substrate. This can be done by applying small amounts of spores at different spots on the substrate.
  4. Incubation: After the substrate has been inoculated with the mushroom spores, it is time to incubate the substrate. Place the substrate in a dark and warm room with a constant temperature between 22-26°C. This promotes colonization of the substrate by the mushroom spores.
  5. Growth and harvest: After a few weeks, the mushroom spores should begin to colonize and develop into mushrooms. Continue to check the substrate for humidity and any signs of contamination. Once the mushrooms are fully developed, they can be harvested for consumption.
